To erase chords from a region

  1. Click the Selection Tool  image\Selection_Tool.gif and select a region. See Selecting music for some region-selecting shortcuts.
  2. Choose Clear Selected Items from the Edit menu. The Clear Selected Items dialog box appears.
  3. Click the None button to uncheck all, then check "Chords and Fretboards."
  4. Click OK (or press enter) . Finale erases the chord symbols.
